In 2018, driven by the dream of creating a community space for likeminded individuals, I decided to open a small witchy shop, initially inviting two friends to join me in founding Practical Magick. We began on Pearl Street, and it was an amazing venture; however, as time progressed, my partners moved on, and Practical Magick relocated to its current spot.

Today, the shop exists as it was always meant to be a cozy, sole proprietorship witch shop nestled on a small-town corner in Essex—filled with enchanting goods crafted by countless local small creators. It’s a space that celebrates community, creativity, and the magic of collaboration. I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who has helped make this vision a reality.
